Pinewoods in July

July 20, 2013

Its been a very hot month, with lots of great dancing in spite of the heat. We have been enjoying the wonderful music during July 4th,  an innovative collaboration of Morris dancers  from England and North America known as Maple Morris and Morris Offspring during English Scottish Session, and the ever exuberant  and high spirited Scot’s during Scottish Session I & II.  Kilts and ghillies replaced  Border Morris sticks, but the dining hall bell, and Corey’s cooking, rings for all. The water remains high in Long Pond, and campers are spending the maximum amount of time submerged in its cool waters. A resident fox often greets incoming campers on change-over day, especially if you arrive in the early evening. Wildlife sightings are abundant, and recorded for posterity.
