Our Mission Statement

Pinewoods Camp, Inc. preserves, operates and improves Pinewoods Camp and its woodland environment for the use and benefit of traditional music, dance, and song communities.

About Pinewoods

Pinewoods is a traditional dance and music camp located in a beautiful 25-acre pine and beech forest between Long Pond and Round Pond in Plymouth, Massachusetts. There are four large dance pavilions, comfortable rustic cabins and houses, two clear-water lakes for swimming and boating, an open-sided Dining Hall with beautiful views over the water, and a cozy Camphouse for various gatherings.

Sessions

Dance and music sessions are held at Pinewoods during the summer season from mid-June until early September. Each session is held by one of our four Program Providers, non-profit organizations which teach and promote traditional music, dance and song.  Three of them offer weekend or single week sessions. The Country Dance and Song Society offers six weeks from mid-July to the end of August. Most sessions are for adults, with a few for families, and they are all open to participants of any level of expertise. Registration is made via the Program Provider for each session. The Camp Sessions pages have information about the kinds of classes offered and the schedule for the coming season.

Pinewoods Camp is operated by Pinewoods Camp, Inc. (PCI), which is a non-profit organization. PCI maintains the camp’s facilities and protects its pristine environment. It is strongly dedicated to supporting its Program Providers and their promotion of traditional and early music, dance, and song.
