Camp Sessions

There are six wonderful non-profit organizations which “rent” Pinewoods Camp each summer.  They are known as the  Program Providers, and they offer dance and music sessions at camp throughout the summer season. Each session has its own Program Director and advisors who design their session and hire a staff of nationally and internationally known teachers and musicians. Each session has its own structure; with four dance pavilions and four or five class periods, there may be more than 15 classes offered each day. Campers may choose to attend some or all class periods, and, in most cases, there is no obligation to stay all week in one particular class.

The program directors also provide time on the schedule for activities and events which bring the campers together as a community. There is always a camp-wide evening event, usually in the form of a dance or concert; there are often parties and gatherings afterwards in the Camphouse.

In addition to all the scheduled activities, there is time to sit quietly, to get to know other campers, to walk on nearby trails, to swim, boat, play games on the Camphouse porch, or to simply take a nap.

The sessions are designed for all levels of experience. Most are for adults, but teens aged 14 and older are accepted if accompanied by a guardian. There are a few sessions for families. Pinewoods, in partnership with its Program Providers, also offers two full scholarships per session to campers up to age 30.

See the Session Schedule for a complete list of the sessions offered this season. Registration is made through the Program Providers.
