I am thankful to have been granted the NGI Scholarship for the FAC’s Pinewoods Weekend session. I have always liked Pinewoods for the dancing, music, social setting, food, and more, and this year was special because it was the first year of Pinewoods since the beginning of the pandemic. I rarely see any of the people I know from Pinewoods outside of the camp, and I hadn’t gone in several years, so as strange as it is, I hadn’t seen many of them in quite a long time. And of all the things I do at Pinewoods, I rarely do any of them elsewhere. Chiefly, I used my time at Pinewoods playing piano for old friends, which was a good experience, but for the most part, Pinewoods offers a unique experience for me, and I was glad to get this scholarship.
